very high quality. Our promoter company M/s Shanker Wire Products
Industries had been engaged in manufacture and export of Cast Iron Weights
from 50g to 1000 kg since1961 and had a dream to manufacture precision
weights of very high quality that would match the international standards.
In perpetuation of that dream, we saw the light of the day in the name of
Weigh India, with modern machineries, equipment and hi-tech laboratory.

Physical Laboratory of India & dispatched with certification which has
traceability with BIPM. Weights of F
2 & F
1 class
accuracy are being calibrated by ourselves, but may be supplied with
calibration certificate by NPL on request.
Technical
Collaboration
We have a technical collaboration with National Physical Laboratory of
India ( the custodian of National Standards) and NPL is providing technical
guidance to Weigh India for fabricating and calibrating these weights. The
unit for technical guidance was inaugurated by the President, International
Committee of Legal Metrology, Paris on 25th February 1999, in the presence
of many Metrologists from India and abroad.
We have subscribed ourselves to the membership of Engineering Export
Promotion Council, Indian Science Congress, Metrology Society of India and
Delhi chamber of Commerce.
Optional
We can manufacture weights in any Specifications as desired by buyers. This
is a routine work for us.
Applications
The Weights of accuracy Class M are being used in commercial transactions
i.e., M
3 for low valued items, M
2 for medium valued
like food-grains, groceries etc., whereas M
1 for high valued
items like jewellery, precious stones and other valuable metals. The weights
of F
2, F
1, E
2 and E
1 classes
are of higher accuracy and used in various laboratories according to their
grade, for verification of weighing equipment of lower accuracy, Research &
development and allied applications.

Control
Our quality control department checks the dimensions and quality of each
weight and only the approved weights are being sent to correction room for
adjustment masses. Finally our Laboratory verifies the accuracy of
Individual weights on High Precision Balances.

guided by scientists from National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. Our
infrastructure helps us to sustain our success by constantly upgrading our
products. The infrastructure comprises of a good work environment, skilled

responsibility of keeping the equipment and machinery under strong vigilance
to constantly appraise the performance.
